About Us

C-LS is an interdisciplinary performance art company founded and led by Lydia Shamoun. Embracing ideas of experimentation and intersection in performance, this New York-based company strives to transcend conventional limitations of performance while unifying mediums.

C-LS performances have toured across the United States, with their choreographic works featured in The New York Times, See Chicago Dance, Seattle Dances, and CityArts Magazine. Their pieces have been presented by On the Boards Open Studio, Velocity Dance Center, Spoke the Hub, Raw Artists, and the Short Fringe at FronteraFest in Austin, TX. C-LS received the Director’s Choice award at the Winter Follies festival in 2019.  Additionally, Club Shamoun is a two time recipient of the Lillian Miller Education Grant, which funded the tours of their last two evening-length work, A FUTURE WESTERN and HELL.
